Samsung Compact II
The Samsung Compact II is more correctly called the Samsung DCS Compact II.
Introduced in 1998 it replaced the earlier Samsung DCS-Compact (I).
The Samsung Compact II in its single cabinet supported ISDN basic-rate or analogue trunks with 8 digital extensions on the base board and modules of 8 DLI ports in the 3 universal card-slots plus a 2SLI special card-slot. An SVMi-4 voicemail was a popular addition. Adding one of the two styles of expansion cabinets enabled ISDN-Primary-Rate and the SVMi-8 voice mail.
The Samsung Compact II was the most successful seller for Telephone Systems Direct and all the other Samsung dealers while it was marketed.
We still maintain over sixty Samsung Compact II sites even though the product was added to the “End-of-Life” category in September 2003. Technical support and spares ceased from Samsung in June 2008.
