dcs systems

The DCS systems from Samsung entered the UK marketplace in 1996.  The entry level DCS systems at the time were the DCS Compact and the DCS.

To reach the micro market the DCS408a and DCS408i were introduced with eight extensions split 50% digital and 50% analogue.  The “I” suffix denoted the ISDN2 version of these DCS systems.

The next of the DCS systems was the DCS816 - another fixed extension configuration system with twelve (digi) and four (anal) with a choice of trunk cards allowing up to 8 lines.  Following on was the DCS Compact-II which was a best seller giving 8 integral digi-ext-ports with three option slots and expandable to six with an expansion cabinet.

The final model of the DCS systems was the DCS-VIP.  This was a stackable, shelf-based platform, providing VoIP and internal server functionality.  Due to power supply problems this product was not particularly successful, but we do know of DCS-VIPs still in use.

TelephoneSystemsDirect can offer maintenance support on all DCS systems.  WE are finding it more difficult on the earliest DCS systems to be able to deliver all spares.
