A handset intercom is one of the most popular features on any OfficeServ7000, OS100, OS500, iDCS100, iDCS500, DCS, DCS816, DCS408, DCS-Compact or DCS-Compact-II system.

The handset intercom is simply a matter of setting up the way in which any call is answered.  With the OHVA facility (it stands for On-Hook-Voice-Answering) when the phone rings you only have to speak to reply to the caller.  This is a favourite with our dentists when they’ve got their hands full of teeth!

Gone are the days of handset intercom types PLAN1 and PLAN1A.  They’re not really because they are emulated in functionality by all the telephony platforms mentioned above.
