If you’re a one-man-band or haven’t the capital to fund an office then hosted voip and hosted services will be attractive for you.  We’ve installed hosted voip in Enterprise Centres to do this.

Essentially hosted voip is a PABX on the provider’s site and you have telephony delivered over the internet.  It’s an IP extension and unfortunately until the Twenty-First Century Network is completed the quality of communications between you and your customers and suppliers cannot be guaranteed.  OK for a good deal of the time the hosted voip calls will be alright, but you just do not know which conversation is going to be affected.
