Having an ISDN phone line really pays dividends.  What do the initials stand for?  Integrated Services Digital Networking – some people in the early 1980’s who had to deal with international standards thought it meant: I Still Don’t Know!

In Europe an ISDN phone line comes in two flavours: ISDN2e and ISDN30e (the e denoting European compliant).  The numeric significance identifies the capacity of channels provided per physical circuit.  However, the 30e has flexibility allowing you to increase or decrease them dependant on business levels.  The minimum is 8 rising to 30.

The huge benefit with an ISDN phone line is that you can have more than one number on it.  You can purchase these DDI numbers in groups of 10, 100 or 1000.  This means that all your employees can have their own telno.  You can assign notable ones for  your most important customers so that when they ring, this call can jump all other calls to be answered first, making them feel special.
