line two
“Call on line two for Mr Smith” ….. do you remember that? This is what used to happen with key-and-lamp-systems in open-plan offices or factories with tannoy facilities.
Nowadays telephony has moved on but still allows that form of line two working should you wish. The user on all DCS, iDCS and OfficeServ extensions now has a “line two” on their telephone so that they can put the current caller on line one on hold while they answer another call or make an enquiry to someone else using line two.
This is why we set up every extension user’s phone with two line keys: Line-1 and Line-2 or Call-1 and Call-2. However, that said, there are many people who will only deal with a single conversation at a time and so line two in their case is a wasted feature.
At TelephoneSystemsDirect we can educate your users in the use of line two. Our trainers are available to provide training in our demonstration suites or at your premises and their sessions can last either a full or half a day dependant on your needs.
So please do contact us on 0800 652 8052 to learn more about the uses for line two.
