nec dsx 80

NEC_DSX_80The NEC DSX 80 hybrid key system has been superseded by the XN120, Aspire, 2400-IPX and Sv8100 phone systems.

The NEC DSX 80 was around for over a decade and had frequent developments to keep it up-to-date with advances in the marketplace to compete with the competition.  It was only sensible for NEC to design the next generation – hence the demise of the NEC DSX 80.

The NEC DSX 80 featured a family of telephones that (at the time) set the latest standards in office communications. Models included; 10 One-Touch Speed Dial Keys; Dual Colour Red/Green LEDs; Built-in Speakerphone and headset jack port.  The enhanced handsets had back-lit LCD displays and illuminated keypads.

The NEC DSX 80 sold well, mainly in the USA, and also, to a lesser extent, in the UK and Europe.  The major difference being the ISDN interface:  T1 in the States and PRI in European countries.

There are new and refurbished parts for the NEC DSX 80 available online but really this product is too old and should be gracefully retired.
