Every business has phone lines.  Making the right choice of phone lines can bring benefits to you both through efficiency and through cost.

FIRSTLY let us look at the different types of phone lines that are available.
Analogue phone lines are what we’ve all been used to for home use, fax machines, modems, etc.  These phone lines are still everywhere but being utilised for Broadband more and more. The next version of phone lines came in the early 1990’s with ISDN.  These were digital phone lines providing clearer speech and additional information about the call, such as the caller’s identity on incoming calls. There are two versions: ISDN2 for smaller businesses and ISDN30 for those requiring a minimum of 8 simultaneous conversations. With a maximum of thirty channels there is little disruption when needing to upsize or downsize the number of phone lines into the premises. Now you will be offered SIP phone lines.  This stands for Session Internet Protocol phone lines.  Essentially it is a Voice-only-Broad-Band pipe where you purchase the bandwidth required to provide the capacity of phone lines you need.

Samsung’s OfficeServ 7000 series voice-servers are well equipped to connect to all the styles of phone lines identified above.

SECONDLY we should consider you annual phone bills.  By choosing the correct provider you can save hundreds and possibly thousands of £’s without loosing that comfortable feeling many get from being with BT.
