Phone Socket

There are many styles of Phone Socket available from stockists in the UK.

Originally a Phone Socket would be supplied by your Network Operator, probably BT and will conform to the BS6328 standard.  Through de-regulation in the 1980s the type of Phone Socket provided in domestic premises changed to allow additional telephony wiring to be installed by non-BT personnel.
In business a Phone Socket may be of the BT style or, if structured cabling be supplied, will be an RJ45 outlet with an adapter fitted into it.

Throughout Europe and the rest of the world you will more than likely see a Phone Socket which conforms to the RJ11 specification. It is unlikely that Great Britain will change.

We have installed thousands of phone sockets so we think we know a lot about them.
