Samsung LCD phones history
Originally Samsung LCD phones were charcoal in colour and had a large display. This meant that the characters were almost 1 cm high and it was very easy to read. These Euro keysets were produced for Europe and were designed to work on the Samsung DCS range of telephone systems. Euro Key sets had either 12 or 24 soft programmable keys running from north to south on the right hand side of the telephone.
When the OfficeServ range of telephony platforms was launched there was a new 5000 range of handsets. The Samsung 5000 range phones are black and silver. The hand-sets have smaller tiltable LCD displays where the letters are nearer 0.5 cm in height. The soft keys run east to west beneath the display and come as follows; 7 button LCD - £75 14 button LCD - £112.50 21 button LCD - £150 38 button LCD - £187.50
Old LCD key-sets work on OfficeServ systems: When the 7000 series of Samsung phone systems was launched there was no support for old Euro handsets. In 2008 Samsung decided to support old models on the new IP enabled systems.
