 The Samsung MP40 is a part designed by Samsung, the Korean Manufacturer.  The Samsung MP40 is the Main Control Processor module, which is installed in the basic chassis (in slot-3) and manages the overall operation of the Samsung OfficeServ 7400 telephone system.  The MP40 performs voice switching and signal processing; controls subscribers’ station management functions; offers system booting and data management facilities; recognizes/monitors/controls the modules mounted in the universal slot of the expansion cabinet through IPC by connecting to the LP40 in the expansion-chassis of the Samsung OS 7400, or the LCP in the expansion-cabinet of a Samsung Office Serv 7200.

The Samsung MP40 offers the following functions: Convenient installation via Smart Media; Database backup; Port for Universal Asynchronous Receiver and Transmitter (UART) test; External/Internal Music On Hold (MOH) and Loud/Common Bell function; Time setup and display features.
