telecom europe
The telecom Europe directives changed the face of the telecoms industry through the 1980s and 1990s. In 1981 when UK de-regulation happened each manufacturer needed to comply with British Standards such as BS415 for electrical safety. With Britain joining the EEC we then had to show compliance to the telecom Europe TTE directive succeeded in 1999 with the telecom Europe RTTE. Really this Radio and Telecommunications Terminal Equipment Directive imposed such stringent EMC & RF interference restrictions that a number of Japanese manufacturers were unable to meet the design criteria within the time frame and as such were displaced by Korean giants ready to take telecom Europe by storm.
Samsung Electronics entered telecom Europe with the DCS in 1996 and through the iDCS range to the current OfficeServ7000 series launched in 2005 with the OfficeServ7200 and in 2009 followed by the OfficeServ7030.
