telecoms network

telecoms_networkToday’s telecoms networks are certainly different to the telecoms network that you’d have seen back when the UK and European telecoms industry was deregulated in 1981.

Then the telecoms network was principally analogue with a smattering of digital circuits.  Office telecoms network equipment consisted of large racks of electronics commonly called private automatic branch exchanges.  The size of the processor today and line interfaces has reduced to about 10% of what it was due to the advances in technology.

Now a telecoms network is more than likely fully integrated with the data network with voice traffic being prioritised through layer 3 switches using the quality of speech (QOS) feature.  The conversion from Time-Division-Multiplexing terminals connected to a “spider†telephone network into IP phones on a CAT5/CAT6 telecoms network is now predominant.

At Telephone Systems Direct we implement whichever type of telecoms network you want.  We’ll chat about the merits of each style of telecoms network with you so you can make an informed decision on cost versus functionality.  As a Samsung Platinum dealer we are honour-bound to tell you all the advantages, disadvantages and risks associated with any telecoms network installation – especially mobility solutions.

But good news for you is that we will give you GOOD VALUE phone systems (“What to Buy for Business” magazine) with a 25% discount from RRP.   telecoms_network.pdf
