The iDCS history

Samsung released the iDCS family of telephone systems for small, medium and large sized organisations. There have been a number of different telephony platforms designed and developed by the Korean Manufacturer over the last decade or 2, and the iDCS is one of the more recent ones.

The iDCS replaced the older Compact, I and II, and eventually the DCS (408, 816) digital communication system. However, the iDCS is not the latest version on todays market, as it has been superceded by the OfficeServ ranges comprising of the Office Serv 100 and the OfficeServe 500. The iDCS range of voice and data communications products combine the latest in technology and simplicity whilst also ensuring good value for money.

The iDCS models:   The iDCS networks provide medium-large businesses with a truly integrated voice-and-data solution. Two examples of these are the iDCS 100 and the iDCS 500. These two IDCS PABXs are classed as truly convergent IP enabled digital PBXs, which allows you to streamline your voicecomms whilst also integrating your computer network. The iDCS is a fantastic PABX as it enables existing DCS users to upgrade and expand their current hardware and keyphones to the iDCS platform. This in itself means that the iDCS provides greater functionality to the older PBX, whilst maintaining cost controls within the Business. The iDCS provides a host of fantastic functions for a Company. Some come as standard, while others are optional.

iDCS options include ISDN connectivity, Voicemail, DECT cordless technology, CTI (Computer Telephony Integration), Digital key-phones and Call centre functionality. The iDCS is now discontinued and no longer available. However we can still obtain spares, should you own an iDCS.
