video conferencing server

A video conferencing server can sometimes be referred to as a Media Conference Bridge.  The video conferencing server is really a media-server-or-controller allowing a number of video endpoints to participate in a multipoint-conference.

Polycom claim to be the first to introduce the video conferencing server with their Distributed-Media-ApplicationTM (DMATM) 7000.  Their RMX2000 is a media-server optimised as a video conferencing server.

Other manufacturers have video conferencing server apps including Tandberg (Cisco) and LifeSize.

At Telephone Systems Direct we are happy to tackle your video conferencing server enquiry whether you’re after point-to-point, point-to-multipoint, with or without whiteboard plug-ins.  We’ll even discuss ways and means with you to keep your costs down by suggesting you acquire your own screens as you’ll get them cheaper than we can.
