The SVM voice mail system has served the Samsung telecom range well since the late 1980s.

Originating as the Cadence in the DCS and the SVM400 external voice mail system for the Compact II, DCS408 and DCS816 the voice mail system family evolved into the SVMi-8 for D C S and OfficeServ500, SVMi-4 for the iDCS100 and OfficeServ100; the SVMi-2 internal voice mail system for the V2 DCS816s; SVMi-20 voice mail system for the OfficeServ7000 series.

While the SVMi-20e voice mail system is in modular form for OfficeServ7200 and OfficeServ7400 it is built in to the OfficeServ7100 and entry-level OfficeServ7030 and enabled through the purchase of a licensed key.
