voice mail

Voice mail has been around for years.  What would we do without voice mail?  Well some of us would be much happier, I suppose.  The voice mail services we have today do keep us in touch with our important customers and enable us to leave messages when we’re otherwise tied up or not contactable.

So which voice mail should we choose?  The voice mail on your mobile-phone is provided as part of the service package in most cases and you don’t have a choice.  However, in business it is normal that your voice mail is part-and-parcel of the telecoms system.  For traditional TDM PABX or key-system they are usually modules that fit into the main unit but occasionally operate externally on PC-based platforms with analogue connections through specialised interfaces.  In the current IP world voice mail products again run on pc’s but utilise voip technology directly through the LAN connection.

At Telephone Systems Direct we specialise in voice mail solutions mainly with the SVMi portfolio.  The voice mail module is known as SVMi-20e on the OfficeServ7200 and OfficeServ7400 while on the OfficeServ7030 and OfficeServ7100 the voice mail is enabled through licensing.  Delivering a voice mail message by indicator on desk phones, forced delivery to mobiles or your inbox are options well received in this day where every second seems to count.
