A voice paging system used to be a specialised accessory to a PABX.  Some voice paging systems still are.  However, in today’s telecoms market the majority of PBX’s and Key-Systems have a form of voice paging system functionality built-in.  This is only true where the phones have a speaker facility that can be utilised for hands-free speaking.

The Euro and 5000 series telephones from Samsung on DCS, iDCS or OfficeServ telephony platforms can all emulate a voice paging system.  It is possible to create a number of Paging Zones if your organisation is large so that you can Page announcements or try to locate a person.  “Call for Mr Bloggs on Line 2” is a typical voice paging system announcement.
