The Samsung Compact II was the predecessor of the iDCS100 and the OfficeServ100 that introduced the ability to send calls utilising VoIP technology. In most other respects these three systems are no different from each other.
The Samsung Compact II has eight keyset extension ports as standard on its back-plane so it is only necessary to add a trunk card to have a functioning system. The Samsung Compact II has 3 optional card-slots allowing SVMi-4 2-port or 4-port voicemail; 4TRK or 8TRK trunks; 4BRI – 8 channels of ISDN2; 8DLI and 8SLI digital and analogue extensions.
By adding an Samsung Compact II Expansion chassis another 3 cards can be added to the configuration including DCS-styled SVMi-8 for greater VM capacity or a TEPRI 30 channel ISDN30 interface.
TelephoneSystemsDirect can keep your old Samsung Compact II up and working as we have spares despite the product having been made obsolete in June 2003.
