A wi-fi phone gives your staff a mobility solution that may not have a high cost to your business.  If you already have the ability to connect laptops over wi-fi, then allowing  a wi-fi phone connectivity is merely a matter of enabling your in-house PABX to link to the LAN through a VoIP interface.  You might need a few extra wireless access points to extend coverage outside the office environment.

 

BUT you have to ensure that all the routers and switches in your network have QOS (quite normal if they are layer 3) and the feature is turned on otherwise the speech packets will not be prioritised making intelligible conversation almost impossible at times.
